BATTLEFIELD BAND'S MUSIC TRYST - 2012 FESTIVAL CANCELLED We're very sorry to say that there won't be a Music Tryst Festival in 2012. As we mentioned during the 2011 event, we need to obtain funding in order to continue running the festival, which was self-funded last year. Given time, we think this event could be successful enough to grow into a self-sustaining festival, but during the first few establishing years another source of financial support is essential. Unfortunately we haven't been able to obtain funding for 2012, so we're not in a position to run the event this year. We're disappointed at this, but not discouraged and we do intend to continue with the festival in future if at all possible. The last two Music Trysts have been so memorable: the musicians have all had a great time, the venues and staff have been excellent, and the feedback we've received from the people attending has been incredibly positive, so we'll stay in touch and do all we can to ensure that the Music Tryst Festival happens again in the near future. If anyone
feels inclined to put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard,
