This event will be a weekend of superb traditional music; concerts, lessons/workshops and informal sessions, suitable for all ages, and led by the internationally acclaimed Scottish group Battlefield Band, who will be joined by many of their musical friends.

Newbattle, just seven miles south of Edinburgh, has a rich tradition of celebrating Scottish culture in this heritage site - writers, poets and historians have worked and studied in this beautiful building - and Newbattle Abbey provides a beautiful & historic surrounding for the gathering, which will hopefully be the first of many.

The event will showcase some of the best & most respected musicians in Scotland, with bagpipes & fiddles to the fore!
