Special Guests

This event will showcase some of the best & most respected musicians in Scotland, including
Tich Frier, Mike Whellans, Allan MacDonald, George Duff, Chloe Matharu & Michael Marra. It will be a great opportunity for Battlefield Band to perform with, and introduce you to some of their favourite musicians so it should be a fantastic weekend. George Duff
An excellent singer & guitarist, highly respected amongst his peers, George Duff has been performing for over thirty years. He has toured throughout the UK, Europe and the United States alongside members and past members of bands such as The Tannahill Weavers, Jock Tamsons Bairns and The Easy Club and even once played guitar for country-rock legend Emmy Lou Harris!

Having worked in the coal-mining industry for eighteen years, George has a keen interest in mining songs which will feature in the concert he is hosting at the Tryst: 'Songs of the Mines and more' at 5pm on Saturday 6th August.
